    I remember when we went decimal and Mars bars were 3.5p. Then they took Purchase Tax off confectionery and they went down to 3p.

    I remember when I was a paper boy and a twix was 12p but that was 3 decades ago! I also remember the days when I could eat wispa (or a marathon – the king of cheap choc or the biscuit boost, the young pretender) all day with impunity and remain stupid thin so I’m quite glad they seem expensive now!

    I remember when the Wispa was originally launched in 1983. At the time i was living in Bishop Auckland and from memory I was paying 16p for a bar.
