Looks like we’re off to stand in queues in Morzine for the main chunk of our holiday😝. ‘Bleau on the way back, natch, but also need somewhere for the first week.

Obviously the answer to every question about brilliant family MTB and climbing destinations is always Briancon, but it’s too far away.

So, where should we go for about a week with good climbing, good MTB and not too scorchio in these Climate 2.0 times?

She wants relaxing camping with lovely views, some climbing/ bouldering and XC MTB

16 yo wants lift served bike park

18 yo wants gift served bike, or XC, climbing or bouldering.

I want nice rock climbing, somewhere to send the kids DH. Lift served tech. Bouldering. Cooler temperatures.

    We all want Klettersteig.

Clearly we won’t get all of the above, but something along those lines…..

    Tell me.

Also, anything you can tell me about best place to stay/ camp in Morzine would be awesome, but I was planning to do a search.

We really liked the smaller, quieter feel of Le Clusaz.
    Beautiful place.

No idea what the climbing is like mind.

Also remember enjoying the bike park at Lac Blanc too. Still got the t-shirt.

I’d just go to morzine for longer. Gives you time to do other activities, and there are loads of great things to do there. If you’ve got the car you can easily do some extra day trips too.

    Vosges mountains…..?

Three bike parks there. Although small they’re pretty good. La Bresse, Lac Blanc and Markstein.

Lots of very good natural riding there, too.
