  • Portable Carbon Monoxide Alarm – which one?

    Morning all

We have a solid fuel rayburn in our kitchen which burns 24/7 for 6-9 months of the year providing our hot water, central heating and means of cooking when its alight.

We have a hard wired CO sensor on the ceiling in the kitchen which has a red LED which flashes when it detects CO and a very loud alarm which goes off if it detects CO in a dangerous concentration. The LED flickers every now and again and when we have had “smoke issues” from the rayburn (due to operator error!) the alarm has sounded.

Can anyone recommend a portable, battery powered monitor with a display which shows actual CO levels which can be moved around the house to detect CO, i.e. in the bedrooms?

    Ta in advance.
