- Police MXers in the Peak District?
We were out round Ladybower last week and as we appraoched a gate a group of Mxers were coming through from the other side. They were very polite and held the gate open for for us and we came through. As we were passing I noticed they had jackets on saying police but the jacket was the only thing they were wearing that was ‘policey’ – also one of the lads bikes had blue flashing lights on, they weren’t in a hurry to be anywhere so the flashing lights was a bit odd. (two blue flashing squares on a top box) They were all about in their 50s maybe a little older, I thought maybe likely they could be retired coppers.Posted 4 months ago
Anyone else come across them? do you reckon they were coppers. Seems a bit odd to be impersonating coppers as a group, on Mx bikes in the middle of nowhere in the Peak District.Paul@RTWMember
Yep, it’s Police. We were looking at them suspiciously and thinking “POLITE” jerseys but one of them stopped and explained who they were. They wear ‘civies’ to get as close as they can to (and I quote) the “scrotes”. Nice guy. This was in some woods near Chapeltown so I can well imagine they may get out into the Peak sometimes – He did say it was a collaboration between several forces.Posted 4 months agoTom_W1987Member
Once they’ve cleaned up the Peak are they going to move to London, change the tyres to something more streetish and get to grips with the scooter gangs?
Probably not, the “scrotes” that upset the landed gentry are a more important target.
Scooter gangs only target commoners.Posted 4 months ago
