I’m not a plumber, but would guess half a day at whatever plumers charge – £200 – £250 labour + and materials.

It’ll be interesting to see how far out I am!!

I’d say £150 and upto £250 plus sereval scratchings of arse and a huge builders bum.

The radiator bit would be easy enough and won’t take long but the fire part I’d say they make last half a day.

I’m lucky there’s a local guy near us who is retired gas board and does work like that for peanuts as has very minimal over heads.

PErsonally I’d do all the waterworks myself and just leave the corgi man to connect up the gas for ~50 quid. I’d say they’ll charge you about 200-250 all in.

First one been and has quoted £250 !* got him to disconnect the fire for £40 so I could crack on with the work around the fireplace.Told him I would give him a ring when I needed the rest doing. Will see how the other one fairs.

10 minute job – only if you include drinking your cup of tea.

Aye cup of tea and a jaffa cake drank and eaten.

Flue check, boiler check gas off gas pipe blocked.£40 seems fair as he did it there and then as he was only here for a quote.

Will have to bank it though as it was a cheque

10 minutes work plus time driving there, cost of running van, cost of liability insurance/ CORGI membership, tax and NI on wages, cost of tools etc etc.

doesn’t seem too bad to me.

I would say £150-250 Depending on your quality of tea,PG usually goes down well!…Just bite yer tongue!
