- Plastering quote – is this reasonable…
Just been quoted £350 to plaster our conservatory.
This is for 3 small walls (600mm ish high) and big wall (3.5m x 2.5m ish) which was the house exterior wall. This includes all materials and labour.
Just wondered if this sounded reasonable? Seems it to me.

Yeah, he was really cheap compared to other quotes, but came recommended by friends so decided to risk it. He did most of our ground floor which was anything from plastering from the brick to skimming the ceilings. Am happy with the work so can’t complain. Included all materials too.Posted 3 years agoricky1Member
The guy has to earn a living, pay mortgage/rent,pay for a van/tax/insurance/mot/general running costs, answer to the tax man, public liability,he came out to quote and that’s his time,he also has to go and get the materials, how much do you want to pay/everyone advise you to pay?Posted 3 years agomikewsmithSubscriber

So when did plastering earn people 200 a day?
Depends how much you can do in a day, materials and other costs. Take of running a van, insurance, VAT, NI for employees etc. and you don’t earn what you charge. I’ve lived in places where plasterers were in huge demand that would lead to higher pricing.Posted 3 years ago
