a group of us 12+ usually take over this place for a weekend in September, good food/beer bike wash and storage plus they’ll wash your kit for a small fee.

Caegwyn is perfect, secure bike storage, and its not basic in the barn with ensuite, tellies etc. But the best bit is if you pay the owner a pound he will take you to the pub where they do a mean lamb burger and pick you up after a few pints of 1664 to rehydrate.

Camping facilities at Caegwyn are lacking. The showers are good but everything else is somewhat poor

We always stay in Reditreks, in the middle of Machynlleth. Good pubs in the town selling nice beer and the curry house is always worth a visit. Secure bike storage, cafe round the corner for breakfast etc etc.
Bit further to drive than other places but you are also close the cli-machx trail, the end of this trail is well worth riding!!
The bloke that owns it (Tegid) also manages the local bike shop if you need repairs/help/advice……

    Stayed here – http://www.tynygroes.com/

Wasn’t the cheapest but ticked all boxes

Just over the road from the trails so you can ride from the B&B
Secure lock-up (take your own lock anyway)
    Foods Ok
    Beer’s cold
    Showers are hot
Did have a cute lass behind the bar

We’ve stopped at Plas Isa in the centre of Dolgellau on a couple of occasions
Basic self catering place with good showers and bike lock up

There’s a cafe just outside the front door for breakfast and a couple of pubs/eating places within a couple of hundred yards
