Ah yes. The Fantastic Britten. Remember seeing them racing at Snetterton in the early to mid nineties and then seeing one in the museum in Wellington. RIP John Britten.

Is that a Ford V8 Pilot?
It’s an Armstrong-Siddeley Whitley (also mine). I got it for peanuts with a frost cracked engine block. Got some special high temp epoxy from Ciba-Geigy, smashed the cracked bits off and then glued it all back together. 🙂 (Yes, it worked).
The Norton Inter was a mate’s. It used to frustrate him that my wee Triumph could blow him away, but it was so light I could lift it off the ground.
