Do we have any Physio’s on here?

I have some premature wear and tear on my left hip joint.

Only found out this week despite having the X-RAY done over a month ago (yes I know the NHS is slightly busy right now…).

So phone consultation with my GP went something along these lines:

Dr: You have some premature wear and tear to the hip joint – have you injured it?
Me: Not that I can think of.
Dr: Well it doesn’t need surgery, so just take painkillers and Google hip exercises that should help. Bye.

So, I’ve googled hip exercises, but quite frankly when it comes to this stuff I don’t want to take chances.

So are there any Physio’s who can recommend or point me in the direction of credible exercises.

    Thanks

Sorry I’m not a physio but I do have advanced osteoarthritis of both hips, left side is proper painful/ grindy.
I went to an NHS physio and owing to the fact I do a lot of strength training exercises she said there were no exercises to give me as I had full strength in all muscles.
I do weighted goblet squats to below parallel, Turkish get ups, bear crawls and various stuff using resistance bands, your imagination is your friend.
Exercises need to be done through the full range of movement.
