Not my best, but the best from my camera on a rather spookily quiet snowy Manchester Saturday last winter

Find myself shaking the branches now, trying to save them from snapping under the weight… How long to cater for an entire forestry plantation??

Apologies if these are samey and not exactly technically great, but in very taxing conditions with no tripod and a manual focus old mirror lens for the most part, I’m quite proud of them…

Thanks for the comments everyone 😀

zokes I really like your ashes shots – I’m quite jealous. The Siddle shot is great, especially impressive if you were manually focussing. The bokeh on mirror lenses is pretty freaky though isn’t it!

Wow. Every time I come back to this thread I’m stunned by the sheer quality of the photography here. Such wonderful images, really inspirational.
Here’s a snapshot I took in Bath late Saturday afternoon I’m rather pleased with:

Lighting was simple – on-camera SB900 with a small softbox bounced off the ceiling. But that girl is beautuful whatever lighting you have 🙂

DrJ, she is indeed quite lovely, beautiful eyes. The portrait with the fur around her face is superb. Slugwash, I really like the landscape with the barn and the clump of trees on the skyline. Something about compositions like that really appeal to me.

Sorry no bikes, but have had no time for anything other than kid’s Christmas photoshoots over the last few weeks. This wee lass was a delight to shoot and her parents were happy for me to share the images online.
