I was doing a publicity event for my book Fat Tire Flyer close enough to the start of the second stage of the Amgen Tour of California that a few of us drove down to catch the start in Nevada City.
When I got there I ran into my brother from another mother, frame builder Chris Kelly. He gave me the keys to the kingdom, a laminate that got me inside the barriers. The leader jerseys were introduced, Mark Cavendish wearing yellow and Peter Sagan wearing polka dots. I took a lot of snaps of them as they stood next to each other, but this one seems to have caught a moment.
Saturday night I wasn’t my normal cheery self. So I lit a fire and made tea as a pick me up activity. To my delight, uninvited, my daughter joined me and whittled

LR CC? No, I rather detest the subscription model for Adobe’s products now, since as a student I get/got a decent discount on the non-CC stuff (which I own for life, handy when my money runs out).
Yeah CC 2015. I know what you mean about the subscription model but as I do it as a business I don’t mind as much and obviously it goes down as a business expense. I get a discount too as I do some work for an educational charity.
There’s a LR and PS only deal which isn’t very much – I think about £11 per month.
