2 years after I left Sheffield for the Oil and Gas money I am returning this weekend to throw my SB95 down some of my old haunts.
I’m planning a route from Bamford up to Hope Cross. Is the previously badly-destroyed-by-logging-tractors trail up from the South side of Ladybower now settled and rideable? It starts from the bench opposite the A57 layby and winds it’s way up the side of the woods to Wooler Knoll here (then it’s 200 metres of cheeky to get to the track that descends from Win Hill to meet the Roman Road just South of Hope Cross).
I’m riding the Peaks Friday and Tuesday – hopefully avoiding the worst of the crowds!

While since I’ve been up there, I think it was Marchish, but it was fine to ride then.
