When I posted this there was a post above promoting another source of cheap socks but Brant’s spam appears to have been deleted.  I wasn’t referring to the OP

I bought some from the shop- they are ok, not particularly thick but are comfortable . Not warm enough for winter though

I always thought the ‘colour where you cannot see it’ thing was so you could quickly pair up your socks.

Spot on. Warmer than regular socks and do have the ‘warm when wet’ properties of merino to a certain extent, but not warm enough for proper winter.
