It’s a right dogs dinner but appears to work.

1×10 NW with a right old mix of xtr, deore, LX and suntour 42t cassette.

Rear American classic (I can’t find the 9mm adaptor for the front) front xm819 on Chris king.

Braking by a deore disc I swapped for a frame about 15 years ago and a similar vintage bb7 on the rear,on a rim/disc 14″ inbred frame the wife didn’t ride enough.

It’s ace and loads lighter than I thought it would be.

    Great that OP.

I knocked this one up for my lad to use for school as I didn’t want him leaving his nice MTB at school. Only thing I had to buy was a shifter, so it cost me about £15!!

Formula brakes, deore/zee gears and cranks, superstar wheels, raceface bars and chain ring. Rock Shox Toras currently at 130mm, need to reduce them really….

    Is that an electric “woodburner”?

Yes, it’s an electric “woodburner” – the sunroom stays a decent temp except in the deep depths of winter so it gives a quick lift with the radiator, was cheap 2nd hand jobbie that looks “nicer” than a two bar fire.

This was for her to cycle to school too as well as do spins on but I think I might keep her using the old cheap Kona for school.

Superb – did similar for my youngest a few years back, using the parts bins of a lot of lovely generous folk off here.

Nice, older of my two is eyeing up his mum’s Gary Fisher.

Problem is she doesn’t have another bike yet. She fancies a hybrid so need to order her one and get it delivered and set up.

Neat. Kids really appreciate getting a special bike built for them.
