    Hi,

I’ve got a Wiggle dhb Waterproof Pannier (22L) and the bag is great and the top clips work very well, but the lower “T-Hook” are useless, every time i go over a small bump it unclips.

Can anyone recommend something else, that closer to the £50, rather than the £100 for Ortlieb ones.

I only need 1, but need be around 20L

    thanks

I think Lomo do a decent one (from memory). No experience though

    Ortlieb 😆

You can get a pair of citys for under £75. The classics are worth the £100 for the pair though.

Ortliebs are £90 from Spa cycles. You certainly get what you pay for and they take some abuse. Spare clips-handles etc are available when you wear them out. Long term investment=money well spent.

However, they’re not a cheap or glamorous purchase. Worth it though.

These waterproof panniers from EBC are great value.
    Very well made too.

Carradice do lots of types for reasonable money.
    These seem excellent vfm.

Ortliebs are great (got a pair myself) but you can get just as good for less.

OK OK OK I’ll get the ortliebs !!!
So are the plus version worth the extra?

And does anyone want to buy the other one?

Carradice welded waterproof panniers don’t last. Wouldn’t recommend them.

    Duck cotton ones are good

I prefer the classic to the plus although the plus is a bit lighter and apparently a bit tougher.

I have some EBC ones that are about your budget for a pair but yep, the bottoms clips are a bit flimsy and I’ve come unclipped when heavily laden or rough ground (or kerbs) before.

Mine are 7 years old hough so the design may have improved since then.

The Ortleib ones are much sturdier.
