Daft question I know, they are 1/4″ different according to their description.
It’s just that No Nonsense roller and tray kits are 1.5″ and No Nonsense roller sleeves are 1.75″

Are they really different ? It seems a bit odd that products from the same manufacturer are not compatible.
Or is it just they are measured differently somehow, and they are actually the same size ?

9 inch is the overall length of the roller, the fury ones are thicker, than the foam ones, but the inside diameter is the same to fit on the roller cage.

Pair of rubber gloves and clean them as if your e milikng a cow, to get excess paint out.Then plenty of water.

1.5 is obsolete – just can’t cope with unevenness in the wall as well as the bigger size

That’s the obvious answer, but then, 1/2″ copper pipe is measured on the ID, 15mm copper pipe is measured on the OD so the pipes and fittings are interchangeable.

there certainly are two different inner diameter standards for 9″ rollers, so they are really different.

Generally, 1.5″ was considered “DIY” and 1.75″ “Trade”. I have no idea why this came about. The measurement is on the (internal, I assume) diameter of the sleeve. Different sizes of sleeve will not fit different sizes of cage. Buy 1.75″ and stick with that. Any decorating supplies shop you use will stock 1.75″ but not everywhere has 1.5″ these days. Most other sleeves in the screwfix catalogue will be 1.75″ (and after using the shitty no nonsense sleeves, you’ll probably want to try something better).

I went to Screwfix and had a look at the rollers before I bought them.
Yes, they really are different. It’s worth knowing that if you buy the cheaper 1.5″ roller set from Screwfix, they don’t sell replacement 1.5″ sleeves, only 1.75″, so it’s worth paying a bit more for the bigger roller.

1.75″ rolls faster and is 0.0997% more awesumz
