Pace RC129 any one got one
-
As title really, any one rode/owns one yet.
Just ordered mine, but want some thoughts on them..
Posted 9 years agonot properly released yet. I beleive a couple of black ones have arrived
I’ve got a Cream one on order, boxes of bits ready to go on 😀
Posted 9 years agoAny update on the RC129?
Pace have no cream XL in stock atm, but do have black or white.
Someone must have ridden one by now.
Posted 9 years agoI’m off to pick up mine next week. rode the test bike and loved it, although its a bit small.
I think the creams where a 1 off run
Posted 9 years agoGot told cream is back in stock in mid sept
Posted 9 years agoWhat size are you collecting? They have no xl demo for me
Posted 9 years agoA couple of mates rode Sophie Carter’s RC129 in single speed guise when we were over at Dalby. They were both impressed with the way it smooths out the trail.
Sophie showed us some unofficial Dalby trails the following day and it looked fast and smooth (that is more likely just the fact she was pretty much born on a bike though).
Posted 9 years agocream xl for me bear. your welcome to have a spin but it will have an unusual build.
Posted 9 years agoMay take you up on that offer to check it for size. Are you down near Thirsk?
Posted 9 years agoYeah just outside thirk, So will be out on the moors on it a bit, planning to put a fat front tyre on it, but also have plenty of parts to build it conventionally.
Posted 9 years agoI’m up in Newcastle, but folks live in Pickering, so I come down the A19 pretty often. Could pop in one day to check the size if that would be ok.
Posted 9 years agono probs, email is in profile, will have it a week on sunday, 😆
Posted 9 years agoHow’s the build going Shep?
Posted 9 years agoGoing well, rides really well with fat tyre. But have ordered a Niner fork for up front.
You’ll need a mega long hose for the rear brake though.
Posted 9 years agoI’ve got mine now 😀

Finish of the frame is fantastic, just need to build the wheels then will get the pic’s up.Looking forward to pics.
have you gone for carbon Niner forks Shep?
Posted 9 years agoFinaly got it built just in time for D2D.
Very impressed with how it rides, and how fast it is.
Massive thanks to all at Pace Cycles for helping me out.<img src=”http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6044/6210054341_bd18834b44.jpg” width=”500″ height=”375″ alt=”000_0308″>

Posted 9 years agorode mine for the first time at the weekend
not a light steel frame, but the swift and nimble ride makes up for it
Posted 9 years agoI like that white one a lot. How did you find the sizing? The really short seat tube put me off a bit, looks like you are both running massive seat posts to make up for it?
Posted 9 years agoyeah, it’s a ‘low slung’ frame, that’s for sure 🙂
didn’t pay much attention to the seat-tube TBH, i look at the top-tube length to fit, but a plus side to such a small frame is that all the weight is between the wheels which seems to work well on a 29er, keeping the bike less top-heavy and more chuckable between the legs

(Sorry about the thumb – unfamiliar camera!)Not sure if anyone is still watching this thread but just in case here is my two week old RC129. I loved the ride of the singlespeed demo at Pace and was amazed at how it flew around the bottom half of Dalby’s red route so I decided to go for the same. Really pleased with the build (and thanks to everyone off here who’s contributed in buying and selling) and the ride. In terms of fit I’m just under six foot and have the medium which feels great. For a ‘big’ bike it feels compact but not cramped and everything falls just where I want it. Handling is unbelievably fast by any standards not just for a 29er.
Great Bike (thanks Adrian…) 😀
Posted 9 years agoThat looks VERY nice in black Andy, no disrespect to the other bikes on this thread, I’d have them all, but Anndys looks best.
Posted 9 years agoThanks Ben. Its a beautifully crafted frame and I think the black shows the incredibly smooth welds to good effect. Pace have produced an absolute gem.
