just the other day i noticed the thought wander through my mind ‘been a few years since i was in a&e…’. out on my race bike for a little shake down before bristol, over the bars, down a bank and ouch.
a question – i have a huge hole in the side of my knee (12 stitches) and i think the stem did it as i ‘exited’ – possible?
as i was straightening out the bike i also noticed i’d left the forks locked – stoopid
however i’m sort of cleared to ride so if you see someone on a 69er going rather gingerly at the bikefest, you now know why

afterthought – after every crash my first thought is now long till i can get back on – is this normal?
