Wife and kids out on a girlie day, I had some boring admin to do at work.
So chose to ride a very round about way in, because I had the time.
At the midpoint furthest from home/work, somehow ripped rear mech off 🙁
Attempts at single speeding it failed, limped a few miles to local bike shop who very kindly bodged it for me for no fee! Time to go home with tail between legs…
Sadly the bodge failed after 2 miles and as I was resigned to scooting home, the sole fell off my left shoe…☹️
Finally got home after scooting/walking a few miles.
Now left with broken bike (need new mech, hanger and chain, cassette was on way out too) and can’t use spare bike for commuting as shoes fubared.
And I never got the work done either!
Hope you have all had better days ( I know in the scheme of things it is nothing but it was the first day this year I’ve had time to go Out and ride for fun)
