    Very good. Currently on doxycycline for possible lyme tick bite for the second time! GP was keen to send me on to serology for further testing based on medical history but admitted she didn’t know much about Lyme at all and we are very far behind europe and the US when it comes to awareness, diagnosis and treatment of Lyme.

    @ bigjim – that’s rubbish and do hope the antibiotics do their job. Yes the UK is far behind (I’m under an American doctor) and here’s a few UK links for you:

    A Swiss friend of mine is horrified by the UK approach to Lyme, it’s taken very seriously there, as it is in the USA, as you will have discovered.
