Glad the Op got a solution he is happy with though and fair play to px for looking after a loyal company.
Not all warranties are equal.
When we are weighing up bike options. We often look at the overall price and the components etc. We rarely ever compare warranties and after sales customer service and hope we never need it. It’s usually only those who have been stung before consider it. A bit like cheap car insurance, it’s great until you make a claim.
PX ti frames have a 2 year warranty but Titus have a “lifetime” warranty for what good that is. There’s lots of little writing and if buts and maybes. Both bikes are roughly the same price.
Then other brands like alpkit have a 10 year warranty which probably means 10 years. They are known for good customer service.
The recent giant thread highlighted this and put me off buying a giant.
Even Halfords offer better warranties than the premium brands. So why do we pay more for a premium brand and get less? Do we just buy into the marketing BS?
