    + 1 for I Saw the Devil.

Check out Guillermo del Toro’s output: The Devil’s Backbone; The Orphanage; Cronos

Sympathy for Mr/Lady Vengeance, check out some of Takashi Miike’s work as well, my favourite probably Ichi the Killer and 13 Assassins.
I watched Old Boy first and then the other two of the trilogy. I thought the other two were far inferior. I wouldn’t honestly bother.

    I enjoyed 13 Assassins though.

The devil’s backbone . Watch it at least twice once for the film then just watch the cinematography.

Sympathy for Mr Vengeance is my favourite.

Big fan of Old Boy… watched another Korean film the other day, which would definitely fit the bill:

    Breathless.
From 2008, about a debt collector.
Quality, piece of nuts Korean cinema.

Plenty of good films mentioned so far, I’ll add:
    Das Boot
    Elite Squad
    Infernal Affairs
    Battle Royale

    Ah, I remembered: Dogtooth!

    Time Crimes
    I saw the devil.
    Headhunters.
    The bothersome man.
    Fear me not.

Watched Julia’s eyes last night. Thought it was quite good. Guillermo del Toro.
