    Flipped the bike over on its saddle earlier so I could remove the wheels but now the wheels are back on and the bike is now the right way up it seems something’s has happened to the brakes. They have gone soft, soft as in lever all the way back to the bars. They are Hope Mono Minis if that helps.

    Air in them

    If there is a little air under the diaphragm it can get into the system when the bike is upside down. With the bike the right way up take the wheels out and push the pads back – that will push the bubble back into the master cylinder. You will need to pump the lever a few times to get the lever feel back once you put the wheels back in

    a better idea is to bleed them properly and then roll the diaphram on to stop this happening again

    You might get away with cable tieing the levers to the bars overnight trick
