I hate to be “that guy” but I wonder if anyone that has ridden in Moab could help me decide what tyres I should run from the 3 that I have, because my bike bag total weight is right on the max and I’m only taking hand luggage, taking the spare tyre isn’t an option so I will adopt a run what you brung approach, so my tyre options are…
Magic Mary Trailstar for the front
Nobby Nic Trailstar for the rear
    or
Nobby Nic Trailstar for the front
Rock Razor Pacestar for the rear.

    All 27.5″ x 2.35″ Snakeskin, on a Bird Aeris.

So I was thinking of the second option as well, it’s slick rock, but I’ve heard that trails like the whole enchilada is actually not ridable from the top at the moment as there is snow and heavy mud so its not going to be a straight forward dry setup I guess.

Any comments from people that have actually ridden there would be helpful.

I took Minion Front and HRII rear, not helpful but…
Something tough, round tread pattern was nice and off you go

So I was thinking of the second option as well, it’s slick rock,

Slick rock is a couple of hours one morning and you probably won’t go back, there is plenty of slabby rock out there but a lot more trail in general. A good all round combo will be fine, it it’s not head into one of the many bike shops and buy some new ones 🙂
