Can you recommend a book on sports nutrition that keeps it simple and has some good recipes in please?

    Thanks

Not a book & no recipies, but Game Changers on Google Play / You Tube / Netflix is a good watch, debunks a few myths around protein intake / plant based diets.

The Feedzone Portables one and Cookzone(?) accompanying one are pretty good and explain quite a bit about nutrition before the recipes.

The Cycling Chef by Alan Murchison also has some good recipes for cooking at home too – regardless of whether you’re a cyclist or not, these are tastey.

Glad someone else noticed that game changers was written before it was researched.

And I’ll leave that at that.

How ever it’s achieved alot of good by being extremist in that those that have watched it have at least considered reduction of meat consumption as a nod towards its teachings which given we as a whole eat too much meat on a daily basis is a good thing.

If it’s performance based then try racing weight by Matt Fitzgerald.

-but read what ever you want it boils down to the correct calorie deficit to reach your weight in a healthy manor while eating quality calories.

There is no magic bullet formula for what to eat unless you have underlying health issues that mean you need certain things …..

A good think and probably the easiest thing you can possibly do is buy smaller plates.

Not a book but I like cyclingtips for things like this. There may be some book recommendations in there?

I could recommend Readly the magazine app. Then every month you get mags like Clean Eating, Vegan, Vegetarian, Healthy Food plus a load of others. Also a shit load of fitness magazines that have articles on nutrition.

You might want to take a look at the Mealime app, not a nutritional guide but It has a good selection of recipes, you can tailor preferences, save favourites and create meal plans.

Those meal plans then create a shopping list, from which you can tick off what you already have.
