I have seen these American products I would like to try, but they are a bit expensive to get sent over from the states, does anyone know of a European/British company doing similar stuff.

Slice of bread, spread with peanut butter, wrap in cling film, stuff in jersey pocket. 20p at the most. You could even add some jam or Nutella!

Saw those in boots this evening – £2,50 for a few sticks of peanut butter

    Slice of bread

Or tortilla. Spread, roll up, chop in half, wrap in cling film.

20%+ fat content for an energy gel??

Hmmmm, that’s going to sit nicely on the gut!!

Not really fit for purpose IMHO….

I often sandwich peanut butter and nutella mixed between two rice cakes, cut in half and tin foil (easier to open i find that cling-film on bike) worked really well and very cheap to make.

Coghlans do special squeezy tubes, a bit like a toothpaste tube, to let you take jam/peanut butter etc on a trip with you. They’re refillable and washable. They would work pretty well for this use
