    Hey folks.

I was going to swap an old and dented DT Swiss 4.2 rim on an old set of wheels for a nice new tubless rim. I was thinking a Mavic 819 UST. I’ve got a set of XT tubless wheels and I like the lack of faff with UST rims.

So the question is how do you build up a tubeless wheel, How do you get the spokes in? There is oviously a way but its not really obvious!

ferrules slide on to the spoke, you then screw the nipple on, then screw the ferrules into the rim.

    takes a while!

    Thanks sounds like a pain!

Having never built a complete wheel, just trued and replaced the odd spoke – its sounds like a bad idea for a wheel build project!

Just use stan’s rims regular rim to build with and with tape becomes tubeless.
