I joined facebook a couple of weeks ago, because I got to know of a group – loosely related to mtb – on there that I might be interested in. I didn’t know that you were supposed to use your real names, so I made one up, just like every other internet forum. (Yes, I’m that clueless about facebook)
Now, I keep getting messages saying that people want to add me to their list. As they don’t know my real name, they can’t know me. Are they all sad losers desperate for friends? Do I just ignore them and wait for them to go away? Is there any way to find out more about these people without agreeing to my name going forward, and will I get spammed to death if I do?
Help, please.
