    mate has bought a bike and hates the clicky free wheel thing going on with hope
    she wants an alternative …
    whose free wheels are non clicky ( i’m tasked to sort it out…)

    shimano are pretty quiet, and ive never had one fail on me.

    Shimano. I prefer them on my tourer although I have hope on most everything else.

    Shimano hubs have terrible freehubs – quiet
    Hope and Chris King make great freehubs – noisy

    But seriously, you could always try and find an old Shimano ‘silent clutch’ hub which are truly silent or a True Precision Stealth hub (http://www.trueprecisioncomponents.com/tpc-products/mtb-rear-hub/).

    I too like silence on the bike. Its a higher evolutionary thing!
