Lots of IT types on here, anyone fancy volunteering for a few months to help the NHS?

How has it come to this?

They’ve been asking for thosevolunteers for months from right at the beginning of lockdown in March, I know because I work in IT and was made redundant 3 days after the lockdown was announced and saw these job advertised when I was looking for something.

I think they’re taking the piss and trying to take advantage of people’s (poor) situations , I suspect those jobs are for one of the large consultancies who are working for the NHS and presumably charging the NHS a huge day rate.

Paying £7000 a day to Tory mates at Boston Consulting then expecting skilled IT workers to work for free is definitely taking the piss
