Ordering a new bike in the New Year and I think I have narrowed it down to these three…
Verenti Substance 105 £660 from Wiggle
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/verenti-substance-105-2016/
Pros: 105, steel frame, really not very much money!
Cons: Not sure about the colour, possibly a bit heavy, can’t find much info about the wheels
Jamis Renegade Expat £712 from Evans
http://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/renegadeexpat.html
Pros: Steel frame (with 3 sets of bottle bosses), nice design touches on frame and fork (different offsets etc), colour/etc, finising kit looks decent.
Cons: Tiagra (but I’m sure it’ll be fine)
Pinnacle Arkose 3 £800 from Evans
http://pinnacle-bikes.co.uk/road-and-cyclocross/pinnacle-arkose-three-2015-cyclocross-bike
Pros: 105, full carbon fork
Cons: Top end of budget, alu frame, BB7 brakes.
Thoughts? Any other recommendations?
Needs to be under 800 quid and be able to run 40C tyres (planning on getting some WTB Nanos at some point).
Cheers
