The problem with third party ‘fixes’ is that as soon as you use a different PC, you’re buggered.

Mind you, it took me until Vista days to start using the Windows key instead of ctrl-esc in case I was faced with a keyboard that didn’t have one, so I’m probably a bad example.

Can’t roll back a new laptop that came with W8, we had to get a new one as her old one hit the floor one too many times :/

If the old one had a valid code on it then you may be able to install 7 on the new one.
