Gone from a 90mm riser stem and 640 mid rise bar to an Haven 55mm flat stem and mid rise 680mm monkey bar. Is there any changes to my riding technique i should be making and what should I be experiencing? Certainly feel as if more to come from the Stumpy and me now.

I seem to be able to attack the trail more and quite surprised that i don’t feel as if i’m being pitched forward at all with a lower stem.

My weight is being encouraged to lean back more on fast downhill corners which seems to aid in stability and increase my speed. Finally, the bike feels better balanced especially on downhill techy stuff the angle of which seems to be smoothed out.

Does all that sound about right?

    Is it fun?
    Are you enjoying it?

If the answer to the above questions is yes then it’s probably right 😀
