Looking for something light, reliable and with a bit of power if I’m only using 160mm rotors.

Budget 200 quid or there about.

    Options so far:

Formula T1s..(bang on budget, and very powerful, maybe overkill)
Formula R1s (super light, pain in the ass to set up apparently)
XTs..(Fit and forget, powerful cheap, heavy)

What would you go for, or have I missed something?

Why not just use the set you have now but put a 180mm rotor up front instead?

SLX are £124 including delivery from bikediscount.de. Why not get these and a lightweight 180mm front rotor and a light rear rotor.

I think out of your list above don’t think there is a bad brake set there!? I run xtr and they are just faultless and powerful braking 🙂

No bother at all setting up my R1s, they’re great brakes… tons of power and very light. But expensive obviously, not convinced they’re that much better than the alternatives never mind XT.

The One is a proper allrounder, you really could put it on any bike- I’ve got a set on my dh bike and a set on my ti hardtail and they’re perfect for both.

Right, thinking the T1s for 190 quid looks the best option.

one question, whats the difference between the t1 and the t1s?
