ny using cartridge bearings will be much better. I’ve got a superstar headset in my Scale that’s been in there for the last 3 years and it’s as good as the day I fitted it.

Tend to agree with this (I usually go for FSA ones for the split race), but I’ve never regretted the money I spent on a Hope ceramic BB so maybe I’ve missed out. The cartridge bearings headsets do degrade but it’s gradual and you compansate for it .. you don’t notice how bad it is till you dismantle it out of curiousity one day!

Charge do know how to make bikes that just work. I have an old 26″ duster and its just a really nice bikes to ride.
