Just thought I’d share even though its not a top end bike.. First proper new bike since 2011 so thought I’d buy something that could cover 90% of what I ride.

Say hello to my new large camber 29

Now the spec wasnt great but I bought it with a view to put my parts on and use the new parts on my daughters next bike so its all good
Upgrades so far (only had the bike a week)
    Easton haven carbon bars
    Hope 35mm stem
    Raceface turbine cranks and chainring
    Hope 30mm threaded bb
    Slx brakes
    Odi longneck loc ons
    Xt mech and shifter
    Sunrace 11-42 cassette
    Convert to tubeless

    Upgrades to do
Some HT Pa03a plastic pedals in neon yellow when theyre available(hopefully next week)
Some nicer wheels when/if these die
Some better forks as these sektors arent for me at 120mm travel… Will ve on the lookout for some better 140mm forks from next week
Maybe a dropper post at somepoint
Some maxxis dhr2/minion ss tr tyres when i wear these out.

First impressions are very good…completely different to anything I’ve ever owned before so nowt to compare to really but I can say it climbs better than my yt wicked(although Id guess it should really)

Feel free to comment whether good or bad 😀

    Nice bike.
Fair number of upgrades for a week. I would have personally put a dropper on before those but all personal isn’t it. Would like to try one of these.

Good choice sir. I’m on my 2nd camber 29. For me it’s a great all-rounder that inspires confidence. Mine feels good with 130mm on the front, but I’ve heard a fair few people using 140mm. At least you know the frame is designed to cope with 140mm if you go that way.

Make sure you have some frame tape under the rear brake hose as it will eat the paint and alloy where it rubs.

    Enjoy!

Cheers guys, picked this colour on purpose.. It really pops in the sunlight

Its all good.. Most of it I already had sat around. Only parts bought so far are the bars, stem and brakes.
I do have a externally routed reverb on my eldest daughters bike that I could pilfer but I bought this as an all day trail bike. The plan is to keep it as low maintenance as possible whilst trying to drop weight off it hence why I havent put one on yet.
Its currently sat at an estimated 29.1lb on my luggage scales which cant be far out with the changes that have been made from standard.
