As above, family visit looming. Seems it could be ok, or mild inconvenience or it could be an epic clusterpoop. Interested in the experiences of a large sample group.

    Cheers.

We had a chocolate Labrador that was so irregular with her seasons she never had the op as it was too big a risk, so every 9-12 months our castrated basset hound would get all “wiggly” for a week or so. She was never interested though. We now have a young Labrador and for her first season we had to keep a very keen eye as she was showing all the signs of being “receptive”. Really comes down to the dogs and exactly what stage in the season your bitch is.

Our spayed springer would shag cuddly toy, like a male dog would. Embarrassing when we had family round 🤣

That’s nothing I had a golden retriever (intact) who **** his bed with such enthusiasm that he rode it out of the downstairs bathroom, through the hall and round and round the front room!

Regardless of what company you may have!

    “Woo – hoooooo!!!! coming through!”

Socially it’s less awkward than having to pay for the morning after injection, unless your dog has canine clap just leave them be.

Update: All tuned out fine, he’s utterly uninterested. #allmyphew
