Ive not gone straight on up from the bridge, missing out Seathwaite, is the shortcut BW a total bog this time of year?

    Past the quarries?

If so it’ll be beyond moist

I think so, the BW that goes directly North from the bridge.

The Footpath will probs be ok, well I’ve been up there twice but both times I’ve avoided the bw and took the fp to the left of the big lump and it’s been fine.

It’s not like a bog. It IS a bog any time of year. But passable.

We rode the opposite direction a couple of weeks ago on the footpath and it was absolutely fine. The boggy area where the bridleway heads off was, err, boggy, but even this was entirely rideable if you keep to the west side of it (i.e. cross the stream just before you hit the bog).
