What are these called, please? Because I need two of them.
(In case it’s not obvious, they help to hold the rear brake cable onto the frame.)

    ferrule?

I wondered about “ferrule” but a Google image search doesn’t show any.

These are described as “U buckles” or “U buttons”, but that only produces a couple of hits, so I don’t think it’s the right term.

I think they’re known as hose guides.

    These maybe…?

Edit : Not quite the same as they have an extra flange on one end.

Try adding the search term wedge into the mix….. although my Google -Fu is struggling as well

I’m pretty sure I’ve got a few of these at home, drop me an email and I’ll have a look later. If I have I’ll chuck them in the post for you.

Thanks for all your responses! I’ll try a couple of LBSs this afternoon, otherwise I shall take up Steve’s kind offer.

Ideally, they’ll have a flange only on one end, so they can slide into the housing.

The Cannondale ones have a flange on both ends.

I’d like some of those to stop the hoses rattling in the hose loops on my RoadRat

Yay, I got some! Big thanks to all who replied here.

First I tried a Cannondale/Trek dealer, who kindly gave me a couple of stick-on housings (with holes for a cable-tie). Then the mechanic at an independent and long-established LBS managed to find some proper ones, after rummaging in the workshop.

No-one could tell me the correct name though!

It’s a Flugelbinder and I claim my five pounds.
