It’s an American indie(ish) movie about a TV gameshow type thing where contestants are (I think) randomly selected then have to kill each other with cameras following them around.

Possibly has a 5 in the title, came out a few years ago.

Sounds like Series 7: The Contenders to me. IIRC that’s a FilmFour outing though, I don’t recall it being American.

I bet that’s to its credit – the film of Running Man was absolute bilge compared to the novella.
