John Newman sounds like a cross between Plan B and Vic Reeves pub singer to me. Don’t get that at all.

DezB : Give him a chance – he’s just finding his style at the moment. I’m subscribed to 100+ music blogs which necessitates spending an unhealthy amount of my time (according to my ex) listening to tunes (better than the **** soaps and tv she used to sit glued to for 4hrs a night) and he’s been cropping up as a guest vocalist on some rather esoteric music scenes over the past 6 months, once he’s got the awkward first album out of his system he may surprise you, Gilles Peterson (all hail the master and saviour of musical taste) seems to think he’s worth watching.

I’m afraid i just don’t get the noisy stuff such as cdoc’s posting above (sign of reaching my 40’s perhaps?), i try and find something to appreciate in every form of music but i’m at a loss with that one i’m afraid.
