Anyone know if MS outlook has a dictate to email function?

currently got both hands with broken fingers in plaster splints after MTB accident at WE. Im currently working from home, but typing emails is painfully slow and wearing. its taking me 3 times longer to work than it should.

im sure ive clicked on a similar function by accident in the past, but buggered if i can find it now. i also use iPad as well as laptop if there is a similar function in ipad?

    Dictation

Point of note, this only works with US English, not GB. (Though quite what the difference is between dictation and speech recognition I don’t know.)

Should be able to use Cortana to send emails by voice.

Android/Apple phone and tablet should be able to do it with Cortana, Alexa or whatever iThing Apple uses. May not need Outlook itself, so long as you have your email account hooked up to the device in some way that the voice assistants can access.

All theoretical as never tried it. I’m not comfortable talking to devices.

Let us know how you get on, it’s not something I’ve ever had cause to use.

    Good luck, get well soon.
