  • Moving XT brakes to my Scandal – Advice please

    Morning All,

In the next few weeks I'll be moving my XT brakes over from my Yeti to the Scandal.

Back brake look like it should just swap straight over but I'm sure someone warned me about rotor size on the back???? Does the Scandal not accept small rotors or something like that? I'm running 160's…

I have On One Carbon forks for the Scandal and the front brake looks like a completely different mounting at 90 degrees to what I have on my 55's. I'm running 180 on the front. Do I need one of these:

    Thanks in advance

I had XTs on my Scandal with no problem, 160 at the back and 180 at the front but yes you do need an adaptor for the front.

Thanks mate. Is that the right one?

Scandal is fine for 160mm, it might have clearance issues with big rotors but then, if you're buying a Scandal you're not likely to want big pizza-discs anyway.

It cerainly looks like the right one. Unfortunately I have sold the bike so can't rush out and check!
