If you are driving, I’d recommend taking a spare set of wheels if you have them.
Deffo take a spare mech hanger.
After 9 years of alps riding this year was the first that I have had major issues. Spokes went in my front wheel, and being an odd size (29+ on 150mm/197mm hubs), no shops stocked spokes long enough.
Also check what’s in your riding pack for on-the-go fixing stuff. I ripped a big hole in the middle of the tread of a DHR (way to big for an anchovy). Should be no problem, just put in a tyre boot and a tube and off we go.
However, on getting the spares out the following issues occurred:
1) The park tool emergency tire boot was old and had lost all adhesion
2) Glue in puncture repair kit had dried up so couldn’t use that to fix boot in place
3) tube had 2 previous repairs that decided to give up when I inflated the tire
4) aforementioned glue issue meant patching tube was a problem
So, as above – make sure your usual emergency kit is also up to the job 🙂
