I don’t think you’re allowed to go straight from Marble Arch to Mornington Crescent, not even using the ’67 derivative. Not unless they’ve changed the rules since I last checked. Sorry to break this to you old bean but the 1688 French crochet was repealed following the 3rd Conclave of the revisions board in May 2007. The conclave was split 50/50 but it went through when the chairman invoked Hutchinson’s breaker.

Note that the English and Belgian crochets remain in place for now unless playing on a saints day.

Maybe Mr Jazz could lend you his current copy of the rules so that you can have a bit of catch up.
