Hi lads just bough a second hand bike and the Rc3 plus needs a full service as air in damper.
I’ve read a few reports of this problem with this shock.
Will cost 90 if I get a shop to service it and probs bit less to do it myself as got to buy kit , ifp adapter and oil.
I can get a nearly new rt3 for not much more with the same tune. Is there much difference in performance ? I won’t be doing alpine descents .

    Cheers

If you can DIY I would pull it apart and see if its damaged before spending any money.

Not uncommon to strip for service, find something scored and expensive to replace.

At least you are not out any money that way, if it all looks good order the service kit/fill adapter and rebuild, if its damaged and not economical to repair just buy a new shock online.
