Meanley Rd, Ley Rd, Tyldesley, Astley, Manchester M29 7DW – it’s sort of round the back of the cricket club.

Bring £3.50, money for subsidised beer and FULL LEG AND ARM COVERING, FULL FINGER GLOVES and helmet. Skate style shoes recommended. Googles says that the club is open until 9pm – we’ll have to check that bit when we arrive. Otherwise we’ll decant somewhere for beer afterwards.

Oh and cameras, lots of cameras, and your best heckle… 🙂

Is it possible to come and watch ? I have never heard of Cycle Speedway before and I finish work not far from the track at about 7.30 tommorow.

I used to medic at Poole speedway.
That’s a good way to get dizzy.
I thought for a moment you were having a go on the bikes. That would certainly end in death.
Then I realised it’s push bikes. Less risk of death, though still a possibility.

Whilst I remain intact as a result of the cycling the one pint of Holt’s bitter that I had afterwards has utterly destroyed my plumbing. 🙁

Wasn’t it mad to see a drinking establishment so absolutely bombed out on a Monday night. Hats off to the Welfare of the Miners eh? But at 3 quid for a pint of Star, why wouldn’t everyone head for the boozer 😀
