    I am going to Scotland on Tuesday and the weather looks cold to mild but not freezing! Winner ? Thing is i want to break my bike pack cherry and am worried about midges ? what is weather and season for den little blighters ? We will be staying in and around loch tay ? thanks .

    We’ve got cannibal rapists down here on the south coast, or at least we had mythical tales of them 5 centuries ago – if you venture anywhere near Sanquhar or Cumnock you may see the more modern zombies – don’t worry they can’t run as fast as their tracksuits suggest.

    A colleague was picking ticks of herself and kids yesterday, in Aberdeenshire. 🙁 😯

    Seeing as our friends on loch Tay spent yesterday snowed in, I think you will be OK on midge and tick front.
