I’m surprised the list hasn’t been discussed. The shortlist is out:

    Anna Calvi – One Breath
Bombay Bicycle Club – So Long, See You Tomorrow
    Damon Albarn – Everyday Robots
East India Youth – Total Strife Forever
    FKA twigs – LP1
    GoGo_Penguin – v2.0
    Jungle – Jungle
    Kate Tempest – Everybody Down
    Nick Mulvey – First Mind
Polar Bear – In Each and Every One
    Royal Blood – Royal Blood
    Young Fathers – Dead

    Who is going to win?

    What would you recommend?

I really like Kate Tempest’s album, but then i’m a sucker for albums with story lines in them.

blimey! I’ve got 3 of those.
Young Fathers is definitely my album of the year. Especially after seeing them live.

Well, you do have more music than you can keep in an NSA data centre.

Well, strictly speaking you don’t, you’re only renting them; lose your network access and you’re stuffed.

He’d have to lose it for 30 days or so to miss them…..

I’ve bought GoGo Penguin’s album. I’m only on track three but this is so good. It’s like jazz and breakbeat and drum and bass having a glorious threesome.

Now I feel old! I’ve not even heard of any of them!

How old are you, surely you remember blur?

36! I rember Blur being about but I never listened to them. Plus they are not on the list.
