Is there such a thing? Needs to be relatively cheap for a set (£40 or less) and not really fussed what the content is. I just don’t have the patience for modelling. Painting/gluing…I’d rather just put it together.

I’ve bought myself a Gears of War meccano (nerd alert…) but I don’t think it’ll be challenging enough. Perhaps I should build RC cars…

I came into the thread to say

    A Land Rover…

But the I saw the £40 budget. Sorry, you’d need at least twice that. Maybe even three times.

    Adult meccano?

Rexroth (mostly the aluminium profile struts) and the components that bolt to it.

And yeah, more than £40. But if you want to prototype a mars rover chassis…

what you’d be wanting would be a land rover made out of technical lego.

Become a gas engineer or fit gas meters the amount of fittings it takes to get some in.

Buy a load of Dexion shelving from ebay and put it up in your garage or shed. One way to cure your desire for adult meccano 😉

    Good shout IA.

I use this stuff a lot at work and it can be used for all sorts of bike related stuff. Wheel truing jigs, free stands, wall mount stands….

http://www.kjnltd.co.uk/ Are good, they will even cut it for you if you do not have the facilities.

Well and truly Meccano for grown ups!

Mk1 Wheel jig (secures in vice). MK2 will be freestanding and have a mount for a DTI.

Slot in stand for kid’s BMXs
